Kanjin - Kanjin

Japanese: カンジン - かんじん
Kanjin - Kanjin

...A general term for people who make a living by begging others for food and money and other necessities of life.
[Japan]
Depending on the region, beggars are called by many different names, including kojiki, morai, katai, hoito, kanjin, and hendo. However, just as the name kojiki originally came from the word kotsujiki, which meant a Buddhist monk begging for alms, many of these names are adaptations of the original meaning.
