Antilles [Islands] - Antilles
An archipelago in the Caribbean Sea that forms the main part of the West Indies. In Spanish, it is called Antillas. It is divided into the Greater Antilles and the Lesser Antilles. The name comes from Antillia, which was thought to be on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean in medieval Europe.
