Cancer Research Society
Founded in 1908 as the Department of Pathology at the University of Tokyo. In 1934, the Cancer Institute and its affiliated hospital were opened in Nishi-Sugamo, Tokyo, and full-scale research and treatment began. Most of the institute was burned down during World War II, and the affiliated hospital was temporarily located in Higashi-Ginza, but both the institute and hospital have now been rebuilt in Nishi-Sugamo, Toshima Ward. An incorporated foundation.

1908年東大病理学教室で発足。1934年東京西巣鴨に癌研究所と付属病院を開設,本格的な研究と診療を開始した。第2次大戦でほとんど焼失,一時付属病院は東銀座に置かれたが,現在は研究所,病院とも豊島区西巣鴨に再建されている。財団法人。
