Born November 19, 1912. Studied under Saburo Date and Hideo Saito, and in 1934 studied under Rosenstock at the New Symphony Orchestra (now the NHK Symphony Orchestra). Organized the Philharmonic String Quartet. After the war, became a member of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and was active as a chamber musician and soloist. Became a professor at Toho Gakuen School of Music in 1973. Died November 18, 1996. Age 83. Born in Tokyo. Dropped out of Tokyo Music School (now Tokyo University of the Arts). Wrote "Shostakovich."
