Born on October 21, 1876. In 1899 he traveled to the United States to study at Harvard University, where he became devoted to socialism. He contributed to Japan's Yorozu Choho and weekly Heimin Shimbun. He later became a reporter for the Chicago Socialist Daily, where he worked to popularize socialism. In 1909 he returned to Japan for medical treatment. He passed away on October 8, 1909. He was 34 years old. He was from Kanagawa Prefecture. His publications include "Social Issues Seen from Abroad."
