In 1913, Kinemacolor was imported from England (from which the Natural Color Motion Picture Company was born), and shortly thereafter, Kyosei Kaeriya's coterie magazine "Katsudou Bimouroku "FILM RECORD"" was renamed "Kinema Record." In 1919, "Kinema Junpo" was launched, and the following year, Shochiku Kinema, Teikoku Kinema, and in 1923, Toa Kinema were founded, and movie theaters with the word "kinema" in their names appeared one after another (Japan's first movie theater was called "Denkikan" (1903) in Asakusa, but the world's first permanent movie theater, which was built in Los Angeles, was also called "The Electric Theatre."). ...
