Born in the first year of the Eiroku era. Adopted son of Kanamori Nagachika. Serving Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Tokugawa Ieyasu, he distinguished himself in the Battle of Sekigahara. In 1607, he became the second generation lord of the Kanamori family in Takayama, Hida (Gifu Prefecture). He studied under Sen Doan and excelled in the tea ceremony. He passed away on June 3, leap year, in the 20th year of the Keicho era. He was 58 years old. Born in Mino (Gifu Prefecture). His real surname was Nagaya.
