The predecessor of the Family Court. It was established in 1948 as a branch of the District Court based on the Domestic Relations Trial Law for the purpose of adjudicating and mediating family-related cases. The following year, following the revision of the Juvenile Law, it was merged with the Juvenile Trial Office to become the Family Court, which it remains to this day. 家庭裁判所の前身。昭和23年(1948)家事審判法に基づき、家庭に関する事件の審判・調停を目的に地方裁判所の支部として設立された。翌年、少年法の改正にともない、少年審判所と統合されて家庭裁判所となり、現在に至る。
