Qara Qoyunlu Dynasty - Qara Qoyunlu
An Oghuz Turkmen dynasty that arose in the late 14th century and ruled eastern Anatolia, Iraq, Iran, and Azerbaijan for about 60 years from the early 15th century. It was ruled from around 1375 to 1469. It is also known as the Black Sheep Dynasty. It is known as Barānī in historical records. Its founder, Bayram Khwāja, gained independence from the Mongolian Jarairi dynasty in the 14th century and consolidated his power mainly in eastern Anatolia and the Mosul region.

14世紀後半に勃興し,15世紀初頭より約60年間,東部アナトリア,イラク,イラン,アゼルバイジャンを支配したオグズ・トルクメン系の王朝。1375ころ‐1469年。黒羊朝(こくようちよう)ともよばれる。史書中ではバラーニーBarānīとして知られる。始祖バイラム・ホージャBayram Khwājaは14世紀の70年代モンゴル系のジャラーイル朝から独立し,東部アナトリア,モースル地方を中心に勢力を固めた。
