He presented himself as a living god and savior, and promised to realize a paradise on earth free of illness, poverty, and conflict. As paradises on earth, he built Shinsenkyo in Gora, Hakone, Zuiunkyo in Momoyama, Atami, and Heiankyo in Saga, Kyoto, and further opened the Hakone Museum of Art in 1952 and the Atami Museum of Art (renamed the MOA Museum of Art in 1983). ...
