Nobutomo Oda

...The beginning of the Nobunaga era. After his father's death, there were attacks and rebellions from the deputy governor of Kiyosu Castle, the Oda clan in Kaito County, and Yamaguchi Noritsugu, the lord of Narumi Castle, but Nobunaga put them down, and in 1555 (Koji 1), he conspired with his uncle Nobumitsu to kill the deputy governor, Oda Nobutomo, seized Kiyosu Castle, and moved there from Nagoya Castle. In 1564 (Eiroku 2), he captured Oda Nobuyasu's Iwakura Castle, bringing almost the entire Owari region under his control, and the following year he defeated Imagawa Yoshimoto's troops marching to Kyoto in the Battle of Okehazama, earning him military fame. ...
