Son of Oda Nobuyasu. His wife was Oda Nobunaga's younger sister. Lord of Inuyama Castle in Owari (Aichi Prefecture). In 1558, he attacked Oda Nobuyasu at Iwakura Castle together with Nobunaga. He later came into conflict with Nobunaga, and in 1559, he was driven out of Inuyama Castle and fled to Kai (Yamanashi Prefecture), where he became a monk and took the name Inuyama Tessai.
