Born May 23, 1884. Studied under Kuroda Seiki. Joined the Hakuba-kai in 1906, and won a prize at the first Bunten exhibition in 1907 for "Cape of the Evening." Founded the Kofu-kai with Nakazawa Hiromitsu and others in 1912. Died October 22, 1953. Age 69. Born in Tokyo. Graduated from Tokyo School of Fine Arts (now Tokyo University of the Arts).
