A former town in Adachi County in northern Fukushima Prefecture. The eastern part is in the lowlands on the left bank of the Abukuma River, and the western part is on the slopes of Mt. Adatara. Cities have developed in Yui and Shibukawa along the Rikuu Kaido (National Route 4), and it is connected to Nihonmatsu City and is connected to the Tohoku Main Line. Cultivation of rice, vegetables, and horticulture is thriving. In December 2005, it was incorporated into Nihonmatsu City along with Towa Town and Iwashiro Town in Adachi County. 44.35 km2 .
