Entsuji Temple (Okayama)

Tamashima has been an important port town since the early modern period, and is home to Entsu-ji Temple, where Ryokan trained for about 10 years from his early 20s. Mizushima began to industrialize with the construction of an aircraft manufacturing plant by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries at the end of World War II, and during the period of high economic growth, a heavy chemical complex was formed on the coast as the core of the new industrial city in the southern part of Okayama Prefecture.
