For plant export contracts, the standard terms and conditions of the Fédération Internationale des Ingénieurs‐Conceils (FIDC), which are approved by trade associations in over 70 countries, are often used. In addition to the activities of the UN Economic Commission for Europe, the creation and subsequent revision of the Incoterms by the International Chamber of Commerce, based in Paris, is another notable example of the unification of trade practices.
