A collection of haiku from the late Muromachi period. Compiled by Sokan. It was written around 1530 (the first year of Tenbun in the Kyoroku era). The title of the book is "Haikai Renga Sho" in Sokan's own handwritten version and old manuscripts, and was titled "Shinsen Inu Tsukubashu" in the early Edo period publication. This anthology mainly includes hokku and tsukeku (additional verses) by the editor and his contemporaries, and is a great source of information on haiku from the Muromachi period, on par with "Moritake Senku." The editors appear to have carefully selected masterpieces that are in keeping with the essence of haiku, which is vulgarity and humor. In terms of technique, these poems are filled with humour through linguistic wit such as related words, puns, puns, metaphors, and illogical common sense, and in terms of material, they are filled with the free use of vulgar language and unrestrained laughter through obscenity and immorality, and it even seems that all the possibilities for humorous expression in the Japanese language have already been exhausted.

室町後期の俳諧(はいかい)集。宗鑑(そうかん)編。1530年前後（享禄・天文初年）に成る。書名は、宗鑑自筆本や古写本には「誹諧連歌抄(れんがしょう)」などとあり、江戸初期の刊本に至って『新撰(しんせん)犬筑波集』と題された。主として編者と同時代人の発句(ほっく)、付句(つけく)を収録した撰集で、室町時代の俳諧を知る文献として『守武(もりたけ)千句』と双璧(そうへき)をなす。編者は卑俗、滑稽(こっけい)という俳諧の本質にかなった傑作を精選したらしく、そこには、技法的にみれば縁語、掛詞(かけことば)、もじり、比喩(ひゆ)見立て、非論理反常識などの言語機知による笑いがあり、素材的にみれば卑俗語の自由な使用や、卑猥(ひわい)、不道徳による闊達(かったつ)な笑いが満ちて、日本語による滑稽表現のあらゆる可能性がすでに出尽くしている観さえある。
