…He died on November 27 of that year, and at his funeral he had a print of the original work titled “Shidenokadomatsugomanzai” distributed, making fun of his own death. He also wrote kusazoshi (combined volumes), and including those under the names Ubajiyosuke and Nanboku, he wrote over 20 works, including “Konpira Gorisho Takiuchi Noriai Banashi” (1808). He was highly regarded as one of the leading authors of the late Edo period, and is commonly referred to as O-Namboku. …
