〘 noun 〙 A form of Noh performance. It is mainly the latter part of a piece, sung without dancing and accompanied by musical accompaniment. 〘名〙 能の演奏形式の一つ。主として一曲中の後半部分を、舞なしで囃子を入れて謡うもの。謡い手は舞台の右手に斜めに坐し、囃子方は正式の能のときと同じ位置だが、大鼓(おおつづみ)、小鼓ともに正坐して打つ。※風俗画報‐五〇号(1893)人事門「奉納の居囃子(ヰハヤシ)女業とは思われぬ」
