Piran

C ₅ H ₆ O (82.10). A six-membered heterocyclic compound containing two double bonds and one O atom. Two types are considered: α-pyran ( 2H -pyran) and γ-pyran ( 4H -pyran), but the pyran ring itself is not stable. The former has not yet been obtained, but the 2-ethynyl-4,6-formyl derivative formed by condensation of three propargylaldehyde molecules is known. The latter can be obtained by pyrolysis of 2-acetoxy-2,3-dihydropyran or by dehydrochlorination of 2,6-dichlorotetrahydropyran. A colorless liquid. Boiling point: 80 °C. 1.4559. It decomposes rapidly at room temperature in air.

C₅H₆O(82.10)．2個の二重結合と1個のO原子を含む複素六員環式化合物．α-ピラン(2H-ピラン)とγ-ピラン(4H-ピラン)の2種類が考えられるが，ピラン環そのものは安定ではない．前者はまだ得られていないが，プロパルギルアルデヒド3分子が縮合した2-エチニル-4,6-ホルミル体が知られている．後者は，2-アセトキシ-2,3-ジヒドロピランの熱分解や2,6-ジクロロテトラヒドロピランの脱塩化水素で得られる．無色の液体．沸点80 ℃．1.4559．空気中では室温ですみやかに分解する．
