Board of Education Act

Law No. 170 of 1948. Promulgated in July 1948, this law was abolished when the Law on the Organization and Management of Local Educational Administration was enacted through a full revision in 1981. This law stipulated the establishment of Boards of Education as local educational administrative institutions, with the aim of democratizing education, decentralizing educational administration, and ensuring the autonomy of education.

昭和 23年法律 170号。 1948年7月公布，56年全面改正によって地方教育行政の組織及び運営に関する法律が成立，本法は廃止された。本法は，教育の民主化，教育行政の地方分権，教育の自主性確保を目指して，地方教育行政機関として設置される教育委員会について定めた法律である。
