Huaqing Lake - Kaseichi

This hot spring resort is located at the foot of Mount Li, south of Lintong County, Shaanxi Province, China. The hot spring has a long history, and many emperors, including King You of Zhou, the First Emperor of Qin, and Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, all built villas here. It is well known that Yang Guifei bathed here, and her visit is also sung about in Bai Juyi's "Song of Everlasting Regret." This is also where the Xian Incident, in which Chiang Kai-shek was captured by Zhang Xueliang's troops in 1936, took place, and the Pavilion of Capture of Jiang stands halfway up Mount Li. There are currently four water sources, the water temperature is 43°C, and the amount of water is plentiful, making it a popular resort for the people.

中国、陝西(せんせい／シャンシー)省臨潼(りんどう)県の南、驪山(りざん／リーシャン)の山麓(さんろく)にある温泉保養地。温泉の歴史は古く、周の幽王、秦(しん)の始皇帝、唐の玄宗など、いずれもここに離宮を営んだ。楊貴妃(ようきひ)が湯あみしたことは有名で、そのさまは白居易(はくきょい)の『長恨歌(ちょうごんか)』にも歌われている。1936年、蒋介石(しょうかいせき／チヤンチエシー)が張学良(ちょうがくりょう／チャンシュエリヤン)軍に捕らえられた西安(せいあん)事件が起こったのもこの地で、驪山の中腹には捉蒋亭(そくしょうてい)がある。現在の水源は4か所、水温は43℃、水量は豊富で、民衆の保養所としてにぎわっている。
