Luzonite (English spelling)

Japanese: ルゾナイト(英語表記)luzonite
Luzonite (English spelling)
A type of copper ore, also known as luzonite. Chemical composition: Cu 3 AsS 4 . Tetragonal crystal system with zincblende-type crystal structure. Occurs almost entirely as agglomerated twinned aggregates, lacking cleavage. Dark reddish gray to dark purple gray. Mohs hardness: 3.5, specific gravity: 4.4-4.6, streaky black. Arsenocite, which has the same composition and wurtzite-type structure, is a high-temperature type and often coexists with it. Stibioluzonite (famatinite) is isomorphous and forms a continuous solid solution with Cu 3 SbS 4 .
