Year of death: Ōan 6/Bunchū 2.1.5 (1373.1.29) Year of birth: 1298 A nobleman during the Northern and Southern Court period. His father was Gon Chunagon Bojo Sadasuke, and his mother was the daughter of Ushosho Shijo Takauji. His original name was Tadataka. In 1302, he was promoted to Junior Fifth Rank, and thereafter served as Kebiishi, Councillor, Gon Chunagon, and other positions. In 1340, he was promoted to Gon Dainagon, and in 1370, he was promoted to Naidaijin, but resigned the following year. As a nobleman of the Northern Court, Tsuneaki was highly trusted and was appointed Crown Prince by Emperor Kogon as Harumiya no Jo, and held important positions in the Imperial Court. He was later highly valued by Emperor Go-Kogon, serving him as his steward and councilor. As Tsuneaki took the name Kanshuji, his descendants adopted it as their family name.
