Year of birth: 1298
A nobleman during the Northern and Southern Court period. His father was Gon Chunagon Bojo Sadasuke, and his mother was the daughter of Ushosho Shijo Takauji. His original name was Tadataka. In 1302, he was promoted to Junior Fifth Rank, and thereafter served as Kebiishi, Councillor, Gon Chunagon, and other positions. In 1340, he was promoted to Gon Dainagon, and in 1370, he was promoted to Naidaijin, but resigned the following year. As a nobleman of the Northern Court, Tsuneaki was highly trusted and was appointed Crown Prince by Emperor Kogon as Harumiya no Jo, and held important positions in the Imperial Court. He was later highly valued by Emperor Go-Kogon, serving him as his steward and councilor. As Tsuneaki took the name Kanshuji, his descendants adopted it as their family name.

南北朝期の公卿。父は権中納言坊城定資,母は右少将四条隆氏の娘。初名忠定。正安4(1302)年従五位下に叙せられ,以降検非違使,参議,権中納言などを歴任し,暦応3/興国1(1340)年権大納言,応安3/建徳1(1370)年に内大臣に昇ったが翌年辞去。経顕は北朝の公卿として光厳天皇の立太子に春宮亮に補されるなど信任が厚く,院中の重職を兼帯し,のち後光厳天皇にも重用され執事,評定衆として近仕する。経顕が勧修寺と号したことから,子孫はこれを家号とすることになった。
