Batch dryer - Kaibunshikikansouuki

...An operation in which heat is applied from the outside to a material that contains moisture to evaporate the moisture in the material and obtain a solid, dry product. It is one of the unit operations in chemical engineering. In addition to wet solid materials, liquid and paste-like materials are also targets.
[Drying mechanism]
The amount of moisture in a wet material is expressed by the amount of moisture (kg) contained in 1 kg of anhydrous material (material that does not contain any moisture at all), and this is called the dry basis moisture content w (kg-water/kg-anhydrous material). The wet basis moisture w (kg-water/kg-wet material), which shows the amount of moisture ( _kg ) contained in 1 kg of wet material, is also used, but the former is more convenient for engineering calculations.
