Astrakhan Tatars

...The Mishali and Kasimov Tatars are of similar origin, as are the Kryashens who converted to Christianity (Orthodox) in the 16th to 18th centuries. (2) Astrakhan Tatars: Descendants of the Nogai Tatars of the Kipchak Khanate. They live in the delta region of the lower Volga, and retain the traditions of nomads such as tents and two-wheeled carts.
