Akomeginu

Japanese:
Akomeginu

…(1) The kimono is a garment that has been worn since ancient times in China (Zuo Zhuan, 9th year of Duke Xuan, Book of the Later Han, Biography of Nie Heng). It was used as everyday clothing (Shuowen) and as undergarment for close clothing. In Japan, it is called akomeginu or akome (Wamyosho), and appeared in the dynasty period with a considerable change from the Tang style. It was worn under the sokutai, ikan, noshi, kariginu, etc., and was worn under the shigasane and under the hitoe. …
