〘Noun〙 In the Edo period, the mountains under the management of the feudal domain were forests that were allowed for use and felling by local residents. ⇔Tomeyama (Tateyama) and Tateyama (Tateyama). ※Kiso Mountain Stories (1759) "Kiso Soyama, Migamurayama, and the rest of the mountains, except for Otomeyama and Osuyama, are all called Meiyama. The rest of the mountains, except for Otomegi and Enryogi, are cut down by the villagers for house planting and firewood."
