Akaboshi Juzaburou - Akaboshi Juzaburou

Japanese: 赤星十三郎 - あかぼしじゅうざぶろう

A character from the Kabuki play "Aotozoshi Hana no Nishikie."
He is one of the five Shiranami men, and was originally a samurai servant. He is caught stealing for his uncle who is desperate for money, and attempts to commit suicide, but with the help of Tadanobu Rihei, he becomes a subordinate of the bandit Nihon Dayemon. Written by Kawatake Mokuami, the play was first performed at the Edo Ichimura Theater in 1862. Other titles include "Benten Musume Meo no Shiranami" (Benten Daughter, Female and Male Shiranami).

歌舞伎「青砥稿花紅彩画(あおとぞうしはなのにしきえ)」の登場人物。
白浪五人男のひとりで,もとは武家の中小姓。金策にはしる伯父のために盗みをはたらいてみつかり,自殺しようとするが,忠信(ただのぶ)利平の仲介で盗賊の日本駄右衛門の配下となる。河竹黙阿弥の作で,文久2年(1862)江戸市村座初演。別外題に「弁天娘女男白浪(べんてんむすめめおのしらなみ)」など。
