A town in the southwest of the Izu Peninsula, Kamo District, Shizuoka Prefecture. Matsuzaki Port, located in the center and served by National Route 136, is an important port for deep-sea fishing. The town is known for producing Oshima cherry leaves for sakura mochi (rice cakes), and also produces rice and fruit. The town is home to Matsuzaki Onsen, Osawa Onsen, and the southwestern Izu coast (a scenic spot), and tourism is the main industry. Area: 85.19 km2 . Population: 7,653 (2010).
