Lhotse [mountain] - Lhotse
It is one of the peaks in the Chomolungma (Everest) mountain range in the Himalayas. It is located about 3km south of Chomolungma, on the border between Nepal and China, so it is named "Southern Peak" in Tibetan. It is 8,516m above sea level. To the south are the Lhotse Glacier, West Lhotse Glacier, and East Lhotse Glacier. It was first reached by a Swiss team in 1956.

ヒマラヤ山脈チョモランマ（エベレスト）山群の一峰。チョモランマ山の南方約3km，ネパール・中国国境に位置するためチベット語で〈南の峰〉と命名。標高8516m。南方にローツェ氷河，西ローツェ氷河，東ローツェ氷河がある。1956年スイス隊が初登頂。
