Italy's largest and most powerful terrorist and guerilla organization. It was founded in Milan around 1970 as a radical left-wing student organization that believed in Marxism-Leninism. Initially, it aimed to destroy the Italian system, kidnapping and killing Prime Minister Moro and other important figures in the political and business world, as well as bombings. It then expanded its targets, kidnapping NATO Commander Dodger in December 1981. In recent years, it is said to be targeting American SDI research-related institutions and individuals. It cooperates with terrorist organizations not only in Western Europe but also in the Middle East, and in February 1984 it massacred Ramon Hunt, the American inspector general of the UN Observer Forces in the Sinai Peninsula. In the same year, two splinter groups, the Combat Communist Party and the Combat Communist Union, were formed, and the former, the mainstream group, shot and killed Senator Rufiri, who was said to be Prime Minister Demita's right-hand man, in April 1988.

イタリア最大，最強のテロ・ゲリラ組織。マルクス＝レーニン主義を信奉する左翼急進学生組織として 1970年頃ミラノで結成された。当初イタリアの体制破壊を目標とし，78年のモロ首相をはじめ政財界などの要人誘拐・殺害，爆弾テロなどを起した。その後闘争目標が拡大し，81年 12月にドジャー NATO軍司令官の誘拐を実行。近年はアメリカの SDI研究関連機関と個人を目的にしているとされる。西欧のみならず中東のテロ組織とも連携しており，84年2月にはシナイ半島の国連監視軍アメリカ人総監のレーモン・ハントを虐殺した。またこの年に戦闘共産党と戦闘共産主義組合の2つの分派組織が形成され，主流派である前者が 88年4月にデミタ首相の片腕といわれたルフィリ上院議員を射殺している。
