In the strict sense, cattle (domestic bovine) range from small ones with shoulder heights of 90 cm and weights of 250 kg or less to giant ones with shoulder heights of 165 cm and weights of 1,450 kg, and although their morphology varies widely, they all share the characteristics of the Bovidae subfamily, which are described below. …
