Ashibi - Ashibi

Japanese: 馬酔木 - あしび
Ashibi - Ashibi
[1] [noun] = Asebi (Ashibi) → Ashibinasu. Season: Spring ※Man'yoshu (late 8th century) 20.4512 "Even the shadow of the pond water is visible, the blooming Ashibi flowers are worn on my sleeves." [2][1] A tanka magazine centered around Ito Sachio. First published in 1903 ( Meiji 36 ), discontinued in 1906. Published as the journal of the Negishi Tanka Society after the death of Masaoka Shiki. [2] A haiku magazine presided over by Mizuhara Kosoushi. The title of " Hamayumi " first published in 1922 ( Taisho 11 ) was changed in 1928 ( Showa 3 ). It advocated a fresh lyricism in contrast to the objective sketches of the Lesser Cuckoo school. After the death of Kosoushi, Horiguchi Seimin, Sugiyama Gakuyo, and Mizuhara Haruo were selected as substitutes and co-selectors, and in 1990 , Mizuhara Haruo took over as the head of the committee. [Etymology] In the Man'yoshu, it is written as "Ashibinasu" or "Basui", and is often used to refer to flowers that bloom in the mountains in spring, but its abundance seems to have stimulated feelings of love, so it has also been used as a pillow word (→Ashibinasu) and a joshi (initial word) rather than just a scenery.
