Reuter, PJ (English spelling) ReuterPJ

…British news agency. Founded in London in 1851 by German-born Paul Julius Reuter (1816-1899), the same year that an undersea cable was laid across the Straits of Dover. In 1865, it was reorganized as a joint stock company, with its headquarters in London.
