San Juan Bautista (English spelling)

...The city is the core of an agricultural region centered on sugar cane and banana plantations that take advantage of the tropical climate. It was founded in 1596 and called San Juan Bautista, but in 1826 it was renamed to its current name, meaning "beautiful town." The Tabasco Museum on the outskirts of the city displays many stone heads of giant warriors from the Olmec culture.
