single reception

...A method of combining or switching between two or more received signals with different time variations to reduce the effects of fading that occurs in wireless communication. In contrast, the normal receiving method is called single reception. There are many methods used to obtain signals with little correlation, including spatial diversity, which receives signals using multiple receiving antennas spaced several wavelengths apart from each other, polarization diversity, which receives multiple differently polarized waves, frequency diversity, which transmits signals using multiple transmission channels with different frequency bands, and time diversity, which transmits signals multiple times with a certain time lag.
