Asamushi [Hot Springs] - Asamushi
Located in the eastern suburbs of Aomori City, Aomori Prefecture. Legend has it that it was discovered by Jikaku Daishi, and it appears in the travel writings of Sugae Masumi and Furukawa Koshoken. It is a gypsum-containing, weakly saline spring. 73-78°C. It faces Aomori Bay and has beautiful sea views. There is the Aomori Prefectural Asamushi Aquarium and a ski resort, making it a good place for swimming. Near Asamushi Onsen Station on the Tohoku Main Line.
