…A perennial bulbous plant of the Iridaceae family, Tigridia genus. Also called tiger lily or trough lily. Native to Central America, where it has been cultivated for over 1000 years. Each bulb grows 3-5 stalks 30-50cm tall, with flowers at the top. The flowers bloom from July to September and are about 10cm in diameter. The outer tepals are large and flat, making them majestic and beautiful. The flower colors are white, pink, red, orange, yellow, purple, or intermediate colors. As the name suggests, the inner tepals have tiger-like spots, which are extremely vivid. …
