...Ethiopia is home to 70-80 languages ​​belonging to the Semitic, Cushitic, Omotic, and Nilo-Saharan families. Semitic languages ​​are found mainly in the north and central parts of the country, and include Amharic, which has the largest number of native speakers, as well as Tigrinya, Tigre, Gurage, and Harari. Ge'ez is now an extinct language, but it played an important role in the formation of traditional Ethiopian culture.
