Year of death: Bunka 7.5.11 (1810.6.12) Year of birth: 1734 A kyoka poet from the Edo period. His family name was Kusumi, he was commonly known as Shirakoya Magozaemon, and his other name was Sosetsuin. He started out as a sarasa-ya poet, but from the Meiwa period (1764-1772) he lived in Kanabukicho, Nihonbashi, Edo, and ran a house rental business. His kyoka name came from his family business. From the Kan'en period (1748-1751) he entered the school of Tokuryu, and his original name was Oonago Atsuki. He then left kyoka for over twenty years, but began to write again during the Meiwa period, following Shikata Akayoshi (Ota Nanpo) and taking the name Oya Uraju. From around the Tenmei period (1781-1789) he presided over the Honmachi group, which included Tegara Okamochi (Hosei-do Kisanji), Sakagami Furatani (Koikawa Harumachi), and others. In the 9th year of the Kansei period (1797), he shaved his head and used the name Haginoya. He was one of the elders of the Edo kyoka world, and excelled in humorous poems. 没年:文化7.5.11(1810.6.12) 生年:享保19(1734) 江戸時代の狂歌作者。姓は久須美氏,通称は白子屋孫左衛門,別号を窓雪院。初めは更紗屋であったが,明和年間(1764~72)より江戸日本橋金吹町に住んで貸家業を営んだ。狂名はその家業による。寛延年間(1748~51)より卜柳の門に入り,初めの名を大奈権厚紀といった。その後二十余年間,狂歌を離れていたが,明和年中,再び活動を始め,四方赤良(大田南畝)に従って大屋裏住と号した。天明(1781~89)ごろから手柄岡持(朋誠堂喜三二),酒上不埒(恋川春町)らの属した本町連を主宰した。寛政9(1797)年剃髪して,萩の屋の号を用いた。江戸狂歌壇の長老のひとりであり,おかしみのある歌を得意とした。また野呂松人形の使い手としても知られている。 (園田豊) 出典 朝日日本歴史人物事典:(株)朝日新聞出版朝日日本歴史人物事典について 情報 |
