This is a series of books compiled by Li Shuochang (1837-97) during the Guangxu period (1875-1908) of the Qing Dynasty. It is a collection of books that disappeared early in mainland China and remained only in Japan. All of them were collected by Li Shuochang while he was working in Japan as a diplomat, and his attendant Yang Shoujin proofread them and reprinted and published them in Japan in their original form. Some of the books are completely complete, while others are so-called "remnants" of which only parts remain, making up a total of 26 books. The Wenguan Cilin, Taiping Huanyu Ji, and Yuanben Yupian are all remnants, and yet they were so valuable that they needed to be reprinted, but there is also a story that at least one "Tang manuscript" made by a Japanese forger was reprinted without being recognized as such.
