Oceanicity - Kaiyodo (English spelling)

Japanese: 海洋度 - かいようど（英語表記）oceanity

An index that quantitatively indicates the degree of oceanicity of the climate. A is the term that corresponds to the continental degree. The oceanic degree O according to F. Kellner is expressed as follows, where A is the annual temperature range, and T _A and T _O are the average temperatures in April and October, respectively:

O = 100 ( T _O - T _A )/ A

According to this, Verkhoyansk is 4, Tokyo is 16, and Honolulu is 49. There are various other methods of calculating this. However, it is not as commonly used as the continental degree, and the degree of oceanicity is often indicated by the degree of continental degree.
