...The site was investigated by the Frenchman L. Pajot from 1924 to 1930, and V. Goloubev used the materials to conduct research and present his findings. O. Janse subsequently conducted three excavations and published a lengthy report. Remains discovered included pit graves with bronze drums and the remains of pile dwellings, and bronze, iron and stone tools were all found among the remains.
