Hymenaios

…Ancient Greek god of marriage. Also called Hymenaios. At weddings, it was customary to sing a wedding song with the refrain "Hymen Hymenai-oh" or "Hymen Hymenae," and this refrain was eventually interpreted as an appeal to a god, leading to the idea that Hymen or Hymenaeus was the god in charge of marriage.
