Ctenomys talarum (English name) Ctenomystalarum

...Body length 15-25cm, tail length 6-11cm, weight 100-700g. Known species include the La Plata tzu-to-co Ctenomys talarum (body length 15-17cm, tail length 6-7cm) from eastern Argentina, and the Magellanic tzu-to-co C. magellanicus (body length 19-22cm, tail length 7-8.2cm) from southern Argentina and Tierra del Fuego. The body is adapted to an underground life and at first glance resembles a mole or gopher, but it does not have cheek pouches.
