fork supper

... In English, knives, forks, spoons, etc. are collectively called flatware, silverware, or silver (not necessarily made of silver), but knife and fork refers to a meal. On the other hand, a simple meal that does not require the use of a knife is called a fork supper. However, in France, dejeuner à la fourchette (lunch with a fork) refers to a meat dish eaten around noon, with wine (the German word Gabelfrühstück is the same), and "having a good fork" refers to a big meal.
