Sejarah Banten (English spelling)

Japanese: スジャラ･バンテン（英語表記）Sejarah Banten

A chronicle of the Banten Kingdom in western Java, Indonesia. It was written in 1662-63, and is thought to have been completed around 1701-02. It tells the story of the arrival of Islam in Java, the founding of the Banten Kingdom by Pharat Tehan (Sunan Gunung Jati), and the achievements of successive kings, in the form of dialogues. Husein Jayadiningrat's (1886-1960) dissertation, "Critical Considerations on Sujara Banten," is a full-scale study of the authenticity of this chronicle.

インドネシア，ジャワ西部バンテン王国の年代記。1662‐63年に書かれ，体裁が整ったのは1701‐02年ごろと考えられている。内容は，イスラムのジャワへの渡来に始まり，ファラテハン(スーナン･グヌン･ジャティ)によるバンテン王国の建設，および歴代の王の事績を対話形式で物語っている。ジャヤディニングラットHusein Jayadiningrat(1886‐1960)の学位論文《スジャラ･バンテンの批判的考察》はこの年代記の信憑性についての本格的な研究である。
