Valkyrie
Valkyria : In Germanic mythology, the armed maidens who serve the warrior god Odin. They ride horses and lead fallen warriors to Odin's palace, Valhalla.
<Germany> Die Walküre This is the second of Wagner's four-part music drama "The Ring of the Nibelung". The main characters are Wotan, the chief of the gods, the girls called Valkyries born to Wotan and Erda, the goddess of wisdom, and Siegmund of the Belsung tribe and his twin sister Sieglinde. "Ride of the Valkyries" in Act 2, Scene 1, is sometimes performed alone.

《〈ドイツ〉Die Walküre》ワグナーの楽劇「ニーベルングの指輪」4部作の2作目にあたる作品。主な登場人物は神々の長ウォータン、ウォータンと知恵の女神エルダの間に生まれたワルキューレとよばれる娘たち、ベルズング族のジークムントと双子の妹ジークリンデ。第2幕第1場の「ワルキューレの騎行」は単独で演奏されることもある。
