Aobero - Aobero

...The name Sasanoha is said to come from the fact that the male's body shape and color resemble the leaves of bamboo grass, but it is also said to refer to the small teeth of bamboo grass. It is called by names based on its color, such as Akabera (Misaki), Aobera, Aobero, and Gomanjo (meaning young girl) (Shizuoka and Wakayama), and because it is somewhat tall, it looks short for a wrasse and has a large head, so it is also called Hachi (Kagoshima), Daikoku (Atsuta), and Hyotangizam (Hachi = 8 = Hyotan, Hiroshima). The names Moio and Mokuzu (Toyama) were given to it because it lives in places with a lot of algae.
